Project Details
Located approximately 20km southeast of Yeppoon is Great Keppel Island. Wastewater generated by the island’s residents and tourists is treated by a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). Treated effluent from the STP is pumped back to the resort on the island to be used as irrigation water. The STP, sewerage pump stations, rising mains and effluent pipelines are due for an upgrade. This critical project supports the island’s residents and tourism operations by ensuring wastewater is treated effectively and sustainably.

Services Rendered
• Design of potable water, sewerage, and effluent systems, including pipelines, pump stations, and network upgrades
• Structural and civil design for the upgraded STP, including earthworks, sludge drying beds, and effluent storage
• Integration and interfacing of systems, such as MBR Packaged Plant and irrigation infrastructure
• Electrical integration and construction phase support, including site inspections and As-con certifications
